This health center in Lisbon is an institution implementing the state policy in the field of sanatorium treatment and recreation of the population. The main tasks of the center are:
- To ensure the organization of health improvement and sanatorium treatment of the population;
- Participation in drafting normative legal acts in the sphere of organization of health resort treatment and recreation for the population, activities of health resort and recreation organizations;
- Participation in accordance with the established procedure in preparation of proposals on the procedure and amounts of allocation and distribution of funds from the republican budget and state social insurance funds for the organization of health resort treatment and recuperation of the population;
- Development and approval of approximate staff standards for medical, pedagogical, and other employees of health resorts and recreational organizations;
- Conferences, meetings, symposiums, seminars on the organization of health improvement and health resort treatment of the population.
