An IT consultant is a specialist who works at the intersection of several fields – IT, economics, and management. His main task is to understand what information technology can give to business: to understand what needs to be automated, what the resulting effect will be, to select the appropriate IT solution, and implement it. IT-consultant acts as an intermediary between the business and IT specialists. Its tasks include analysis of business processes, their optimization, developing terms of reference for the automation of business processes, selection of appropriate ready-made solutions, or participation in developing terms of reference for a unique IT solution for a particular business, and implementation and debugging of information systems.
