Dendê de Maré Lisboa – Capoeira Angola is affiliated with the Capoeira Center, part of Cordao de Ouro, the most advanced capoeira school outside of Brazil. Capoeira for children and teenagers only here! We teach capoeira to children from 4 years old. Groups in children’s sections are divided by age – toddlers, children and teenagers. After visiting a trial lesson, the trainer assigns a child to the group that corresponds to his/her age and development. Capoeira is a wonderful sport and it is suitable for practicing at any age. Our academy has both beginner and advanced groups. Both men and girls like capoeira, that’s why there are about the same number of men and girls in the groups. We teach modern Brazilian samba, traditional musical instruments – drums, berimbao, pandeiro as well as capoeira songs.
